Deadline: April 29
Email to: suziscribbles [at] yahoo [dot] co [dot] uk — or use the contact form on our Submit page
Theme: How do trees inspire you?
Important! Put “Festival of the Trees” in the subject line of your email

“The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk, and then dead timber.  The tree is a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky.”

— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Wisdom of the Sands, translated from French by Stuart Gilbert

For Festival 59 our host Suzanne of the Spirit Whispers blog asks, how do trees inspire you? This April share something about trees that makes you tick! Show us where trees motivate you to action, whisper to your soul or heart or mind, intersect your life, and inspire you to create, discover, express, investigate, heal, or grow.

Among white oaksDo trees thrill you into forest romps? Do trees catalyze your conservation goals? Do you have a mascot tree? Perhaps there is a tree or a grove in your past which put you on the ecologist’s or ranger’s path? Does your community gather around a tree or other woodland place? How has the shade of a tree brought new ideas to light?

Tell us about trees that have afforded you a new perspective. Share your tree inspirations in word, image, sound, or other creation, then publish at your blog, portfolio, or website, and submit the permalink.

The inspiration continues: send us links to tree and forest related posts, videos, and other content that you find throughout the month. Ready to volunteer to host the Festival of the Trees at your blog? Contact us to pick your month.
