Festival 58: festivity squared!

Festival of the Trees #58 is live at local ecologist: a feast of festive blog posts about Arbor Day celebrations and other real-world tree festivals worldwide, plus “homages to trees from the personal to the communal, at the neighborhood scale to that of nations.” Georgia obviously worked hard to track down some additional links on her own. One highlight is a collection of ten links related to the blossoming season in Japan.

As FOTT 58 makes clear, people are busy planting and celebrating trees throughout the northern hemisphere this time of year, and we hope that some of the posts in this edition will inspire readers wherever they are to plant and protect trees in their neck of the woods, too. Go read.

About Dave Bonta

I'm the author of several books of poetry, including Ice Mountain: An Elegy, Breakdown: Banjo Poems, and Odes to Tools, but my real work is at my long-running literary blog Via Negativa, where I'm currently creating erasure poems from every entry of the Diary of Samuel Pepys. I'm also the editor and publisher of Moving Poems, a blog showcasing the best poetry videos on the web.
