Call for Submissions: Festival 48, trees for wildlife and conservation

Host: Wandering Owl Outside
Deadline: May 30

Themes: The relationship between trees and game animals/birds, or any environmental benefits of trees
Important! Put “Festival of the Trees” in the subject line of your email

Our host for the June 1 edition of the Festival of the Trees, Casey Harn, hails from northeast Iowa, and blogs about hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, mushroom gathering, and all manner of outdoor pursuits at Wandering Owl Outside. He’s requested all submissions to this edition to have some sort of conservation focus, which really shouldn’t be too hard: trees and forests give us everything from cleaner air to fresher water to a cooler climate. Casey’s especially interested in seeing blog posts on the relationship between trees and game birds or animals. We applaud his interest in getting his fellow hunters and outdoor enthusiasts to ponder the benefits of trees, and hope to see a bunch of new contributors this time in addition to the regulars.
