Festival 46: Humorous and Serious Trees

Hie thee over to Vanessa’s Trees and Shrubs blog for the April 1 edition of the Festival of the Trees! (Yes, she did squeak it in before midnight.) Vanessa titles it “humorous and serious trees,” but really, “amazing things that happen in trees” might be a more apt way to describe some of these submissions, from the three different species of fish that climb trees, to the golfer who climbs trees to take shots at trapped balls (in one case going on to place second), to the trees that still protect themselves from extinct mastadons, even in the heart of the city. But my favorite of all was the fellow who tuned the tree outside his window and made music from it — this is truly not be missed. So go check it out.
