Call for submissions: Festival 46, humorous trees

Host: Vanessa’s Trees and Shrubs Blog on About.com
Deadline: March 29
Email to: treesandshrubs.guide [at] about.com — or use the contact form
Optional theme: Humorous trees (in honor of April Fools)
Important! Put “Festival of the Trees” in the subject line of your email, and consider including an image attachment if your post doesn’t include any photos or artwork (see below)

Yes, that’s right: the next edition of the Festival of the Trees will be appearing on About.com, aggregator of so much web information — and deliverer of steady web traffic to all pages linked therein. But that’s not the only reason you should want to participate. Vanessa is hoping to get as many humorous posts, or posts about humorous trees, as possible in honor of April Fool’s Day, and while she said she’ll also consider posts that don’t fit the theme, she’d like to give priority to those that do. Sounds like a party!

Vanessa also told us she plans to include an image-based linkroll, so you might consider sending her an image she can use if your post doesn’t already contain one. Please note that submission of a link to this edition of the festival will imply permission for this one-time use of your photo or other image, over which you otherwise retain all copyright.
